VCU.com Content
Vantage Credit Union makes every attempt to ensure all information, rates and promotional offers listed on vcu.com is current and accurate. However, this information should be construed only as a guideline. Vantage Credit Union reserves the right to make subsequent changes to the content of vcu.com at any time due to changes in policy, State or Federal Regulations, or otherwise.

Use of Cookies & Data Collection
When you visit the vcu.com web servers, we store a cookie—a small piece of information—on your computer’s hard drive. This cookie file is a technical requirement that establishes and maintains a session so members can request information and conduct business transactions. The cookie contains no confidential or personal information and is not used to track member activity after leaving vcu.com. Vantage Credit Union identifies and tracks the single, previous Internet web site address visitors have come from when accessing vcu.com. This is a standard industry practice used to determine how people navigate to vcu.com. Vantage Credit Union may use cookies to customize your web site experience. As you visit vcu.com, our web server also recognizes what web browser and operating system you are using. Vantage Credit Union currently collects aggregate information about the use of vcu.com that does not personally identify you. Various parts of vcu.com allow you to submit information to us via e-mail. Vantage Credit Union collects the e-mail addresses of those members who send us e-mail and the information provided in the e-mail. Vantage Credit Union also collects information volunteered by our members through surveys, contests and electronic forms. This information is used to improve the content of vcu.com, and to enable you to have a voice in the future of the credit union and its services.

Security and Attribution
The information you send Vantage Credit Union is stored on web servers that reside behind a firewall to shield these servers and their information from unauthorized access. Vantage Credit Union’s firewall is regularly tested by independent experts, and audited by state and federal agencies, to ensure proper operation. You communicate with Vantage Credit Union’s web servers by using your computer’s web browser. Some areas of vcu.com are secured and use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), an additional layer of security, in order to maintain the confidentiality of all information sent between vcu.com and your computer. Specifically requested member information, such as Vantage Credit Union account number, Social Security number and Personal Identification Number (PIN) is used to authenticate your identity, determine whether to provide access to your information in the secured section of vcu.com, and enable you to conduct financial transactions. Vantage Credit Union only supports browsers that use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 3.0 or higher. You may need to update your browser occasionally to use vcu.com.

SSL is intended to help ensure that:
1. The information you send Vantage Credit Union will not be read by others, and 2. You are in fact dealing with Vantage Credit Union, instead of a web site impersonating us. You can verify you are dealing with Vantage Credit Union by verifying the Site Certificate Properties. Your information reaches us through SSL to help protect the contents of the message from eavesdropping.

Web Access Users
For security purposes, a Vantage Credit Union account number and Personal Identification Number (PIN) are required to access your account through our Internet-based services. Your PIN should not be stored on your computer and should not be the same as any of your other PINs. You will be better protected if you change your PIN frequently and do not use the same PIN for any other Internet site. Do not disclose or otherwise make your PIN available to anyone. If you authorize anyone to use your PIN, that authority may be attributed to, and obligate, you. If you are ever uncomfortable communicating with Vantage Credit Union electronically, you may instead use traditional methods of communication such as using the telephone, U.S. mail, or visiting any of Vantage Credit Union’s physical locations. If you are having difficulty accessing our secure Web site, please view this file.

E-mail Security
Regular Internet e-mail is not secure. Various sections of vcu.com allow you to submit information to Vantage Credit Union by e-mail. You should use these sections to provide information that is non-sensitive and non-confidential. Vantage Credit Union strongly urges you not to provide personal or account information through e-mail or request information from us that is confidential or sensitive. As unsecured Internet e-mail is not secure, you accept the risks associated with sending insecure e-mail messages and/or any files you attach to these insecure e-mails. If you request sensitive or confidential information from Vantage Credit Union via unsecured e-mail, you accept these risks as well. To communicate sensitive or confidential information, we strongly urge you contact us by phone, mail or by visiting any of our locations.

Children’s Online Privacy
From vcu.com, we may collect member e-mail addresses and other information provided in the e-mail from children age 13 and under. This information is volunteered by these members through contests, surveys and electronic forms. The gathering of such information is purely for informational purposes only to improve the content of vcu.com and will not be sold to any third party.

Links to Other Internet Web Sites
VCU.com contains hyperlinks to other Internet web sites operated by third party companies or organizations. When you click on these links, you will leave vcu.com and go to the linked site. Vantage Credit Union is not responsible for the contents, use, or privacy and security practices, and their terms and conditions apply. All links or other connections to other Internet web sites, or mention of other companies or organizations, is solely for informational purposes to Vantage Credit Union members and should not be construed as an endorsement or relationship other than what is stated where such a connection is made.

Changes
Vantage Credit Union reserves the right to change any part of its Internet Security Practices Statement at any time. You agree to check our Statement periodically to make sure you remain comfortable with its content. Nothing in this Statement affects our ability to collect, combine, use, verify, retain, and report, including sharing with our regulators and law enforcement, information submitted in connection with the provision of Vantage Credit Union products and services. Vantage Credit Union also reserves the right to do the same with information obtained from public sources or third parties, and other information that does not personally identify you, without reference to this Internet Security Practices Statement.
