Printer Friendly Vantage Credit Union Internet Security Practices Statement This statement is made on behalf of the financial service providers in the Vantage Credit Union family of companies that offer banking services, investments, and mortgage services: Vantage Credit Union, Investment Services Group, and Mortgage Solutions, LLC. Please read this Statement carefully, as any use of vcu.com constitutes your agreement to all of Vantage Credit Union’s Online Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to, this Statement. This Internet Securities Practices Statement is part of, and is incorporated into the Vantage Credit Union Membership and Account Agreement, and Vantage Credit Union’s Online Terms and Conditions. Use of Vantage Credit Union’s Internet-Based Services To qualify for, and use, Vantage Credit Union’s Internet-based services, a member must be in good standing. VCU.com Content Vantage Credit Union makes every attempt to ensure all information, rates and promotional offers listed on vcu.com is current and accurate. However, this information should be construed only as a guideline. Vantage Credit Union reserves the right to make subsequent changes to the content of vcu.com at any time due to changes in policy, State or Federal Regulations, or otherwise. Use of Cookies & Data Collection When you visit the vcu.com web servers, we store a cookie—a small piece of information—on your computer’s hard drive. This cookie file is a technical requirement that establishes and maintains a session so members can request information and conduct business transactions. The cookie contains no confidential or personal information and is not used to track member activity after leaving vcu.com. Vantage Credit Union identifies and tracks the single, previous Internet web site address visitors have come from when accessing vcu.com. This is a standard industry practice used to determine how people navigate to vcu.com. Vantage Credit Union may use cookies to customize your web site experience. Security and Attribution The information you send Vantage Credit Union is stored on web servers that reside behind a firewall to shield these servers and their information from unauthorized access. Vantage Credit Union’s firewall is regularly tested by independent experts, and audited by state and federal agencies, to ensure proper operation. You communicate with Vantage Credit Union’s web servers by using your computer’s web browser. Specifically requested member information, such as Vantage Credit Union account number, Social Security number and Personal Identification Number (PIN) is used to authenticate your identity, determine whether to provide access to your information in the secured section of vcu.com, and enable you to conduct financial transactions. Various sections of vcu.com allow you to submit information to Vantage Credit Union by e-mail. You should use these sections to provide information that is non-sensitive and non-confidential. Vantage Credit Union strongly urges you not to provide personal or account information through e-mail or request information from us that is confidential or sensitive. Children’s Online Privacy From vcu.com, we may collect member e-mail addresses and other information provided in the e-mail from children age 13 and under. This information is volunteered by these members through contests, surveys and electronic forms. The gathering of such information is purely for informational purposes only to improve the content of vcu.com and will not be sold to any third party. Links to Other Internet Web Sites VCU.com contains hyperlinks to other Internet web sites operated by third party companies or organizations.
